Yes sir! Myself and IV took the top spots over the weekend for the Red Bull 3Style competition… IV placed 1st and I (plaeboi) placed 2nd… IV is gonna go on to the competition in Toronto and he’ll clear it up most likely and go onto Paris in December… Big shouts to all the other competitors…

There’s been a stir up over at HipHopCanada.com that started with the posting of an old Source Magazine article from 2002. Local Halifax heavyweights JoRun & Shyluv have been posting up their experiences from the days of old, and it’s been a really great read on droppin’ some local knowledge.
After posting the Bambaataa video and watching these old ones, it’s pretty crazy how far the local scene has come. I figured i’d compile the videos they’ve posted and share them, since we’re in the business of doing that anyways!

The Legend himself, Afrika Bambaataa returned to Halifax on the weekend, we got an impromptu interview with Bam after his set, I THINK PLAEBOi was a little drunk during the interview… none the less, it turned out nice and here it is!

Yes people… I know it’s very short notice but we’re doing it anyway… Next week we’ll be throwing a party for everyone that will not be able to make our annual Get It Poppin New Years Eve parties… So it’s like a thank you for the support… We know it’s close to Christmas and ya’ll are going crazy buying up the mall, so we made it a decision to make the door cover $5 all night long (talk about savings!)…
